Owner Matt Campagnone has been providing professional barber services for over 16 years in Barrington.
“In 2004, after years of cutting friends and family in Barrington, I made the decision to enter a Barber Apprenticeship. During this I worked full time while also attending Rhode Island College working towards a Bachelor’s Degree. I completed the required 2,000 hours and was able to complete the practical exam and obtain my Rhode Island Barbers License in 2007. In 2009 I graduated from RIC with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. It has always been my dream to open a Barber shop in town but finding the right location has always been an issue until now.
I’m proud to have now planted the roots for my business in my home town, and look forward to seeing many old and new friends in our chairs.”

DEREK’S GOT ROOTS
Barber Derek Toman started his career after graduating from Barrington High School. In 2008 Derek attended The Rob Roy Academy of Barbering, graduating in 2009 with a Master Barber Certificate. Over the last 11 years Derek has worked in Bristol, RI building a large clientele in the East Bay Area and making a great name for himself. Derek is known for his clean cutting style in traditional fades as well as being very versatile in longer hair styles. With the opening of Roots Barber Shop Derek decided to bring his Barber skills back to his hometown where he is raising his family. He is grateful to his loyal clients that have followed him and looks forward to making many new ones. Derek is thrilled to be part of Root’s and can’t wait grow with the community.

PETE’S GOT ROOTS
Barber Pete Cirillo’s love for Barbering started at a young age while watching his Grandfather in the profession. Pete attended Rob Roy Academy for Barbering from 2005 to 2006, graduating with a Master Barber License in 2007. Pete also owned and operated his own Barbershop in Bristol, RI from 2013-2021. Pete has been a great addition to the Roots Team with his welcoming demeanor and well-rounded knowledge of different haircuts.
